Funding for NVQs

WAMAS has been extremely successful in obtaining funding for its NVQ level 2 programmes which makes the process FREE to employers. The funding has been obtained through a Government Scheme called Train to Gain, a nationwide initiative aimed at helping employees gain relevant qualifications. For many this is often the employee's first ever qualification. Train to gain offers employers much more than this and we recommend that you follow the link above to investigate it fully. To be eligible, employees must be over 19 years of age, not already have an NVQ level 2 or equivalent, have a contract of employment and have lived in the EU for more than three years. Very few employees fall outside these criteria.

Train to Gain

"The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) is the organisation responsible for making England better skilled and more competitive. We are responsible for planning and funding high-quality vocational education and training for everyone and work closely with businesses to ensure this training meets their needs effectively"

WAMAS is working with partners in several areas of the country to access funding through train to Gain. So far we have managed to access funding for all eligible employees seeking to achieve NVQ level 2.
