There are WAMITAB, Waste Management Operations qualifications at level 3 for Supervisors and Level 4 for managers.
Waste Management Supervision Level 3 award
This is for Supervisors working in Treatment/transfer, Landfill Sites, Civic Amenity/Household Waste Sites, Clinical Waste, Waste Collection, Recycling, Street cleansing, etc.
Our experience with this award tells us that candidates need to be both office based and in the workplace supervising teams. We often recommend that potential candidates attend a college course on an introduction to supervision (ILM) before attempting this award.
Managing Waste Collection Operations – Level 4
This is for managers of Treatment/transfer, Landfill, Civic amenity, Incineration Clinical waste sites as well as waste collection managers, Recycling Officers and contract managers.
This award does not lead to the CoTC but some units are common to both awards.
