How WAMAS assesses the QCF qualifications
We realise that candidates for these awards do not want to:
- attend a college
- take exams
- sit in a classroom being told things that they already know
- write a lot
- be late finishing their round
None of the 6000 candidates who qualified through WAMAS did any of these things, other than those who volunteered for Literacy and Numeracy assistance.
We have developed assessment techniques that allow employees to do their normal jobs whilst the assessor carries out the assessment. There is little or no disruption to the service.

Currently there are 17 WAMITAB QCF qualifications that cover the full range of jobs in the waste industry and, with a range of optional units in each award, it is easy to make the awards fit different jobs.
