Training Courses for Waste Collection and Street Cleansing Employees
The training that we offer is based upon the knowledge and understanding section in the NVQ standards, at the end of the training the employees will be well on the way to demonstrating competence towards their NVQ.
The training can be made available in a variety of ways, to suit the needs of the employer and the availability of the employees. Suggested methods include:
- Fully delivered training days on or off your facility (Could be half days Saturdays)
- A series of short training sessions (up to 2 hours each)
- sit in a classroom being told things that they already know
- An introductory session followed by the employees progressing through workbooks in their own time
- Web based learning materials
None of the almost 4000 candidates who have been successful through WAMAS did any of these things, other than those who volunteered for Basic Skills assistance.
We have developed assessment techniques that allow employees to continue working and the assessor will travel with them as they work. There is little or no disruption to the service.
